Workshops

SC includes 22 full-day and 20 half-day workshops out of the 63 submissions that complement the overall Technical Program events, with the goal of expanding the knowledge base of practitioners and researchers in a particular subject area. These workshops provide a focused, in-depth venue for presentations, discussion and interaction.  Workshop proposals were peer-reviewed academically with a focus on submissions that inspire deep and interactive dialogue in topics of interest to the HPC community.

Publishing through SIGHPC

As of SC13 and SC14, workshops held in conjunction with Supercomputing Conferences are *not* archived with the Conference proceedings in digital libraries.

If a workshop has a peer-review process for selecting papers, we encourage the organizers to approach ACM SIGHPC about their special collaborative arrangement, which allows the workshop's proceedings to be published in the two digital archives (ACM Digital Library and IEEE Xplore).  Note that this option only applies to workshops that (a) have a quality peer-review process, (b) are able to upload the final papers for the proceedings no later than October 15, 2014, and (c) do not publicize the workshop before the SIGHPC collaboration is decided.

If you plan to submit a proposal to SIGHPC for publishing the proceedings, please review the info at http://www.sighpc.org/events/collaboration/scworkshops right away, as you will need to follow the SIGHPC requirements and timeline.
